Rates + Services

While each job is custom, this Basic Rate Sheet provides a framework for costs. 

Basic Formula: (day rate + usage + expenses = cost)

All rates are negotiable and will be presented in contract form before work begins.

Longer assignments could dictate a lower rate. For photography assignments, the client receives usage of 5 images (for 1 year of usage) per full day of shooting.

* Note: An hour of shooting (up to 100 photographs taken) results in between 1-3 hours of post-production time.

 *Have regular photographic / writing / media / communications needs? Consider a retainer, guaranteeing the lowest rate (negotiated, based on projected need and term of retainer).

Media Consulting / Coaching: (this includes campaign development, planning, strategic implementation services)

• $500 minimum (includes up to 5 hrs)
• $85 / hr after 10 hrs / month

Copy Writing: by the job or by the hour

• $500 minimum (includes up to 5 hrs)

• $85 / hr after 10 hrs /month

Blog Support Services (more info here at hanspetermeyer.com)

Photography, Video, and Audio production:

• $500.00 / half day (minimum)
• $850.00 / full day

Research, Analytics, and Community Engagement: Using licensed SayZu software

(Don’t know what Mozenda or SayZu can do for you? If you’re interested in what people are saying online about you, this combination of “webscraper” and analytics/visualization tools can quickly “make sense” of 1000s of pieces of datum. • $1000 minimum (includes up to 8 hrs)
• $100 / hr after 10 hrs / month

Travel: 

• $750 / day + expenses for over 250 km from Comox Valley, British Columbia Canada.
• $0.60 / km, expenses, plus full hourly rate for personal vehicle travel for those jobs within 250 km 

Terms: 

• 30% in advance; 40% on completion prior to delivery; 30% on delivery.
• Retained services (minimum 10 hrs/ month for minimum of 3 consecutive months, prepaid) are eligible for discounts of between 10-25% on rates as published here.

** Our rates are simple, straightforward, reasonable, and include:

• Unlimited/non-exclusive usage rights for one year with credits to EatDrinkMEDIA.ca and/or one of our team. 
• Should you require exclusive usage of photographs, video, audio, or written materials, and/or no attached credit, our rates are two times those quoted.
